Master Currency WP makes it easy to create forms that converts between two currencies. The fields that are used are amount, from currency and to currency.
The amount field is a text field while from currency and to currency are shown as select-lists. It's possible to change labels of the form within the shortcode
The plugin also supplies the abilitiy to show a list of currencies in pair and it's easy to customize which currencies that should be converted
(1USD = x EUR, 1EUR = x GBP etc) directly with a shorcode. You can also easily change the amount from the default 1 to 10 (10USD = x EUR, 10EUR = x GBP etc)
With a shortcode you can also display the last update (last date) of the ECB (European Central Bank) rates. Because the ability to change labels directly in the
shortcodes it's very easy to use this plugin in a mutlilanguage installation of WordPress. It's tested and it works fine with the VPLM plugin. It's also possible to include conversion like
from currency = result of to currency in a post/page with a shortcode.
If you are a developer it's straighfortward to extend the functionality of the plugin because it has an objectorienterd approach. Within php-code you could do stuff like
changing the default amount in the convert form, changing number of decimals displayed in the result of the converted currency, changing which currencies are
displayed and their respective descriptions - only by calling some predefnied functions. Of course there's endless possibilities if you want to extend the functionality.
The html created for the form and list are very well thought through and it makes it very simple to change layout of the form and list. No default css is supplied
because the developer should have full control of the layout of the convert form(s) and list(s). The same thing applies to single conversions between two currencies.
