Taxonomy admin filter

Flexible and comprehensive plugin that allows users to better filter hierarchical term taxonomies inside admin pages. Provides easy post-to-taxonomy management and even speeds up page load time by opting for the jQuery Select2 plugin. Developed to deal with taxonomies with great amounts of terms and trimmed down to its most useful functionalities to increase user-friendliness and reliability.

Deals with the case when a taxonomy is used in more than one post type. For each listed term, it displays the number of assignments to the items of the current post type, and also the number of assignments to other post types.

By default, wordpress displays taxonomies raw, all at once, which is very demanding on the browser load time, with no filtering options, and having 50 terms in a taxonomy will make it very difficult to select desired terms or deselect the ones selected. This plugin makes this activity trivial. You even have a checkbox designed to list only the selected terms!

The taxonomy filters are also present in bulk and inline edit section if you want to perform a quick edit.

As this kind of filtering is helpful only for certain taxonomies, you may select the filterable taxonomies from the plugin settings. For less than 1000 terms, the default filtering is enough, and for more than 1000 you may want to opt for the Select2 option.

Also provides a way to hide certain terms from specific users, by selecting them in the user profile.

By default the filtering is done in a non-case-sensitive, "contains strings" way. But wait! As this plugin was developed to support taxonomies with huge amounts of terms, this filter can do so much more! It makes use of key letters (-!+^$=) placed before each sentence that tells the filter what to do with that specific sentence. A sentence in this filter means a bunch of words separated by the letter '+'. E.g. my+example+is. There are three groups of letters that can be used in combination, when used in their specific order. See the screenshots for details.

This was developed using Taxonomy Filter as reference (https://wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-filter/), so you might notice some similarities as regard to plugin settings. The functionality is, however, nearly completely changed and/or adapted.
